. Preliminary Evaluation & Discussion

The BlueLakeXelerator team will conduct an initial evaluation of your application, including your company’s qualifications, product market potential, and fit with our criteria. . Agreement & JV Setup

Once both parties decide to proceed, we sign a formal brand co-creation agreement. The agreement defines the joint venture structure, equity split, capital contributions, and each party’s roles and responsibilities . We then establish the joint venture company as per the agreement, including arrangements for IP ownership and governance . In this model, the manufacturer typically holds majority ownership while we act as a significant minority shareholder, and we jointly form the leadership team (for example, our side provides the CEO while the manufacturer appoints a COO).

After the JV is set up, we assemble an operational team combining talents from both sides and kick off the brand development process. We begin with in-depth market research and strategy formulation, then proceed to brand creative design, prototype development and testing . Next, we establish operations in target markets (e.g., setting up an overseas entity or team), build the supply chain and logistics, and prepare for the first product launch. In parallel, we initiate global marketing campaigns: launching the official website, seeding content on social media, and setting up distribution channels and pre-launch promotions. After several months of preparation, the new brand will officially launch in overseas markets and begin commercial operations.     . What is BlueLakeXelerator and how is it different from traditional consulting or OEM arrangements?

    BlueLakeXelerator is a brand co-creation accelerator platform. We are not a typical agency or consultant; instead, we partner with you via a joint venture to build a new brand together . In practical terms, we invest our own team and resources to form a new company with you and incubate your brand. This means our interests are tied together and we share risks, rather than just giving advice for a fee. This model ensures we act as co-founders alongside you throughout the journey until the brand succeeds.

    . What does the manufacturer need to contribute? Is a large capital investment required?

    In our partnership, the manufacturer is expected to contribute certain resources, including capital. Typically, you as the initiating party will provide the majority of the startup funding for the new venture, and also contribute existing assets such as production equipment, technical IP, or product lines as the project’s foundation . Our team contributes by investing professional manpower, established market channels, and some capital as well. The joint venture agreement will spell out each party’s investment and equity share (usually you retain majority ownership). Importantly, compared to venturing out alone, our partnership greatly reduces your trial-and-error costs and risks, since we are coinvesting and sharing the upfront burden. The exact capital requirement depends on the project scope and industry; we will discuss specifics with you during the evaluation phase.

    . What is the cooperation structure? Will a new company be formed?

    Yes, we typically establish a new jointly-owned company to run the brand. The JV is co-governed by both parties, with a board and management team composed of representatives from each side. For example, our team usually provides the brand CEO to lead marketing and sales, while your executives may serve as COO/CTO leading production and R&D . This “dual leadership” setup ensures that brand operations and supply chain/product development are each led by the party with the strongest expertise.     BlueLakeXelerator focuses on product categories with global market potential and a mid-to-high-end positioning. We are not limited to a single sector, but generally speaking, categories in consumer goods or industrial products that have high technical content and international demand are good candidates for co-creation. For example, smart home devices, advanced outdoor gear, industrial automation equipment, etc. – as long as your product has outstanding quality, some unique competitive edge, and growing market demand, we are open to evaluating the opportunity. During the application phase, our team will research the international outlook of your product’s industry. If we find that the competitive landscape is unfavorable or the category lacks room for a high-end brand, we will discuss that with you frankly. In short, we aim to choose the “right industry” to invest our joint efforts, ensuring the new brand has the highest chance of success.
